What is Visionary Art?

I'm seeing a variety of art being posted but not a lot of what I would normally think of as Visionary Art, as this is a fairly specific genre of art. As a reference here's the wiki page for Visionary Art:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visionary_art In order to keep this site focused on the specific type of art I'd like to see represented here, I will be very selective about the pages I choose to feature and I won't be adding any mods just yet.
I do encourage discussion here about the nature of Visionary Art. What is it to you, and why?

Well , according to the "Visionary Art" definition I found...It would apply to an self-taught artist doing something different ...from the soul, but non-the-less artistically appealing to the eye...the remaining tattoo's I left COULD loosely be Visionary Art applied to skin....However...if tattoos are on this site at all I would think more like Aaron Cain or Guy Aitchenson's Hyperspace artwork...but I feel not many tattoo's apply...I know I won't be putting up anything unless it resembles Visionary on the SKIN. Thanks Justin for clarifying...
