A poet and songwriter in my youth I became a painter
20 years ago after losing my eldest son in an accident.
At first I used painting as a way to express my feelings and stay connected to my son's spirit but in time I found painting became a journey that led me into a confrontation with unresolved issues from my past. In the process I was able to confront and explore the deepest corners of my heart and soul which led me towards healing and a fuller realization of my personal humanity.
I am self taught and have worked in a variety of styles and explored a variety of mediums, including oil, pastel, enamel, acrylic and watercolor.
I have been featured in the Faces section of Raw Vision as well as an article by the New York Times and other newspapers. I have shown my work in the USA and France.
My primary mission is to inspire others to use their creativity as a resource for healing.
I live in the beautiful Hills of Northwestern Connecticut and spend much of my time in nature, immersing myself in the bounty of the great cosmic creation.
